Notes for David Gaskins

Pioneers of Wiregrass Georgia, Vol 2, page 105. List David as being born in Telfair Co. He had fourteen children. David's father John deeded him lot of land 198, 7th district, Dec 30, 1857. This lot was previously granted by John Gaskins from the State in August 1845. He lived there for some years. He eventually moved to Calhoun Co, FL in November 1910. The seven of his youngest children and their families moved too. Just prior to Davids death he could count 119 living grandchildren amoung his fourteen children.
