Daniel Lott Sr.

Occupation: Ordinary( Probate / County Judge ). In 1854 his section of Telfair Co., Ga. became part of the new Coffee Co., Ga. The Legislative act creating Coffee Co. directed the first election for County Officers be held in his home on April 1, 1854. Sons Mark and Joel were two of the Inferior Court Justices. Court was held in Daniel's home until a courthouse was built and the town of Douglas established. Was Ordinary of Coffee Co. 1864 - 1870. He had alliance with Catherine " Caty " Bowen/ Caver having five children before she died. He had at least two slaves in 1848. He had one of the largest families in the county with 25 children.
